No Pain, No Gain

So I have already mentioned that I am competing in the Outlaw Triathlon in August. But there are various stages to achieving this goal.

The main one being train, train and train. There is no supplement or piece of kit that will replace your lack of training. Every triathlete will tell you the evening before the race your last thought before finally going to sleep is - have I trained enough, I should have done more!

The answer is get yourself a training plan, stick to it and bring some races into that training plan so that you have a mix. Some people love to train, some love to race. You need to find a happy medium and without both you will struggle to succeed in triathlon.

Why? Well without the base work that training provides you will not be in good enough shape to complete your race. You need to race to sample the atmosphere of a trathlon and feel the buzz. There is no better feeling than starting with 1000 people all hitting the water at once and coming out of that swim unscathed.

The adulation and shear joy of finishing your first or fifth triathlon never leaves you!

Watch my progress as I strive to finish the Outlaw, but before that, there is the Half Ironman at Leybourne!!
